She Kills Monsters follows Agnes, who, after her sister Tilly's death in a car accident, discovers Tilly's hidden world by playing her Dungeons & Dragons module. As Agnes journeys through this fantasy world with Tilly's character, Tillius the Paladin, she confronts the monsters Tilly created, her own grief, and the realization of Tilly's true identity, including her lesbianism and struggles with societal expectations. The play culminates with Agnes understanding her sister better and finding a path to personal growth and acceptance.
